Scholarship Benefits

Partial tuition discounts

Partial tuition waivers are financial aid that covers a portion of university tuition, reducing costs for students based on need, merit, or specific program criteria, unlike full scholarships, they leave some fees for the student to pay

Reduced semester fees

Partial tuition waivers are financial aid that covers a portion of university tuition, reducing costs for students based on need, merit, or specific program criteria, unlike full scholarships, they leave some fees for the student to pay

Extended payment timeframes

Partial or full tuition waivers  for students from special categories such as orphans, displaced persons, refugees, and those from other vulnerable backgrounds.

 PAYMENTS & FINANCIAL RESPONSIBILITIES

AGU provides flexible and transparent payment options to support student success. While scholarships may reduce tuition, students are still responsible for certain fees.

Below is a clear breakdown:

💲 Payment Only — Tuition Fees

Scholarship recipients are required to pay the remaining tuition balance after the scholarship deduction.
Payments can be made:

  • Monthly
  • Semester-based
  • Annually (with possible discount)
  • Through mobile money, bank transfers, or direct deposit

💼 Other Charges (Not Covered by Scholarships)

Even with a scholarship, students must cover the following mandatory or optional fees:

  1. Registration Fees

Charged at the beginning of each academic year or upon new enrollment.

  1. Examination Fees

Covers internal assessments and exam administration.

  1. Library & ICT Fees

Supports digital resources, LMS access, internet systems, and library services.

  1. ID Card & Replacement Fees

Includes issuance and replacement of student IDs.

  1. Graduation Fees

Required for students participating in the graduation ceremony. Covers gown rental, certificates, and event organization.

  1. Late Payment Fees (If Applicable)

Charged when tuition fees are not paid within the scheduled period.

  1. Administrative Fees

For administrative requests such as:

  • Transcript issuance
  • Recommendation letters
  • Verification letters

These fees ensure smooth operation, student services, and academic support throughout the year.
